Rocket Bear Afghan.  Pure white 100% cotton hand knitted baby afghan, custom designed with the child's full name, date of birth and birth weight custom knitted into the design in cobalt blue, a lovely shade of dark blue, and edge with Copen blue, a silvery shade of medium sky blue.  This personalized baby afghan has an adorable hand knitted and hand embroidered motif, a little brown teddy bear sitting in a rocket ship.  Given as a gift to the grandson of a NASA director and his wife, this hand knitted custom designed baby afghan has special meaning to the family and is sure to be cherished as a treasured family heirloom. Machine wash/dry.

The baby afghan is substantially thick and warm, scrunchy soft and beautifully hand crafted including a full knitted lining for the back, knitted separately and stitched to the front, which makes a smooth double layer of warmth.  It has no fuzzy yarn ends to irritate or tickle sensitive skin.  The back lining of the baby afghan is plain light blue.  Machine wash/dry.

The hand knitted baby afghan is available in two sizes: 

•  25" X 29", a practical size for the car seat, baby carrier, for traveling and at home, and 
•  34" X 36", suitable for the crib, toddler bed, or stroller.  

The baby afghan shown in the photo below is size 25" X 29".   Either size would make an outstanding gift for a new baby, to be treasured and kept for many years.  Please note that in the photos, I have purposely blocked out the last name of the child, for privacy on the internet.  (That's why the child's last name is covered with that weird-looking green piece of paper.)

Custom knitting takes approximately 3-4 weeks, depending on my schedule.  (I'll let you know the exact delivery date when I confirm your order.)   Your order will be shipped via Priority Mail (48 hour delivery).   FedEx overnight delivery is also available upon request.  MasterCard, Visa, Discover, PayPal, personal checks and money orders are OK.  There is a "comments" section on the order form where you can type in the full name, date of birth and birth weight of the baby.
